Workshops & Training

My experience as an Educator.

I have had 17 years experience in designing and delivering DMP based education within Universities and the Charitable sector (Dance Voice). From bespoke workshops for specific professionals or students, 1 day to 1 week long CPD/self-development workshops and Foundation to Masters level training in DMP.

Workshops are facilitated for creative arts therapists, health and social care professionals and students in the field.

All workshops will be facilitated with a specific focus, however they will be facilitated in a participant led way integrating the knowledge and skills of those involved. Workshops are experiential, creative, nurturing and compassionate in their delivery.

CPD certificates will be provided.

Workshops will be designed on specific aspects of Dance Movement Psychotherapy

  • Non-verbal communication
  • Body-mind connection
  • The creative process & the moving body
  • Embodied approaches

Workshops will also be designed with an embodied focus on working creatively with specific client populations e.g.

  • Mental health
  • Addiction & eating disorders
  • Dementia
  • Older people
  • Children & early years
  • Autism
  • Learning disabilities

For existing workshops keep an eye on the Home page and and Facebook.

Individualised Workshops

Workshops can be designed and personalised to meet the needs of your workplace or learning institution, staff or students. I can travel within the South West and beyond (travel expenses will be included in the cost).

Inform me of your CPD needs, aims and desires and how many participants you have and I will provide a workshop to suit.

Workshops as Team building

If you are looking for staff development, team building, wanting to create a more compassionate, communicative and connected team then DMP based workshops can provide the necessary conditions for this. The creative and playful element of DMP, the focus on non-verbal communication and the shared experience, enables deeper connection and respectful understanding of one another.
