Accessing Dance Movement Psychotherapy
DMP helps anyone who wants/appreciates the freedom to explore their process creatively, engaging body and mind. Furthermore DMP is easily accessible for those who benefit from communicating non-verbally and creatively.
There is no right or wrong way to access a DMP session, permission is given for you to listen to and follow what you need in that moment.
DMP can be facilitated in groups or individually, if you are interested in individual therapy or joining a group or interested as an advocate for another person then contact me and we will discuss your needs and wishes.
Individual sessions are usually a minimum of an hour and take place weekly. The period of time DMP sessions run for depends on your needs; this is a shared experience so we will reflect on your process together. However as the therapy is depended on the therapeutic relationship a minimum of 12 sessions is recommended.
Group sessions are usually a minimum of an hour and half and take place weekly. Group sessions will run for a set period of time that will be arranged at the onset. This is followed by a review period before the group restarts.
